Newsome Secures National PPM Contract with Premium UK Health Club Chain
Newsome has secured a national Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contract with a premium UK health club chain operating 43 locations nationwide.
The appointment follows a twelve-month evaluation period in which Newsome supported a reduced number of chiller assets across selected clubs. During this time, the client assessed performance against existing suppliers, focusing on service quality, technical capability, response times and reporting standards. Following this trial phase, the client selected Newsome as their preferred supplier for national chiller maintenance.
Founded in 1999, the health club operator runs high-specification facilities where reliable temperature control is essential to member comfort and day-to-day operations. Under the new agreement, Newsome will deliver a structured PPM programme covering the client’s full chiller portfolio, alongside supporting the servicing of boilers and air conditioning equipment across a cluster of additional sites.
The PPM programme is designed to provide consistent maintenance standards across all locations, with asset-specific schedules aligned to system usage and manufacturer guidance. Newsome’s engineers will carry out routine inspections, performance checks and preventative servicing, with a strong focus on early fault identification, efficiency and long-term asset protection.
National delivery is supported by Newsome’s in-house engineering teams and central service coordination, ensuring a consistent approach regardless of location. The contract also provides the client with improved visibility of asset condition and performance across their estate, supporting better planning and reduced risk of unplanned downtime.
